At BrAInWorlds, around 250 participants embarked on an interactive journey into the fascinating interplay between brain, environment, and perception. Through two immersive installations, visitors experienced firsthand how surroundings shape our internal world models in real time.

In the Connected Thinking space, warm yellows, greens, and lively activities encouraged openness and social connection. By contrast, the Isolated Perception room immersed guests in cool blues, solitude, and virtual realities—prompting more introspective moods. Participants’ reflections on the word “connection” were transformed into AI-generated images using FLUX AI by Black Forest Labs, vividly illustrating how quickly our environments influence what we imagine and create.

The experience culminated in an exhibition of these AI-generated artworks, offering a striking visual record of collective perception in motion. Complementing the installations, thought-provoking talks by Prof. Ilka DiesterJun.-Prof. Dr. Monika Schönauer, and Dr. Adam Kortylewski explored the dynamic intersection of neuroscience and artificial intelligence.

Thanks to the vision of Prof. Ilka Diester and the dedication of a passionate team—including Zoe JäckelSabrina LivanecBettina SchugNatalia Ilin, and over 30 volunteers—BrAInWorlds became an inspiring celebration of science, art, and human connection.
