The Käpsele Innovation Festival is the largest innovation festival in southwest Germany and will take place on June 26, 2025 in the SICK Arena at Messe Freiburg.The festival’s motto is “Out of the bubble – into the future” and brings together creative minds, ambitious start-ups and established companies to discuss future topics and bring innovation to life.

What can you expect at Käpsele 2025?

  • Four stages with practical impulses on topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Metaverse, GreenTech, MedTech, Robotics, Quantum Technologies and New Work.

  • 21 experience stations, two masterclass igloos and a live podcast box offer interactive formats to join in and experience.

  • An open-air-style networking area, inspired by the Black Forest, invites you to exchange ideas with like-minded people.

  • Top-class speakers such as Vanessa Cann (AI manager, entrepreneur), Robin Rombach (CEO Black Forest Labs), Jonathan von Rüden (SAP) and many other experts from business, science and the start-up scene and last but not least two of our BrainLinks-Braintools members Prof. Thomas Stieglitz and Prof. Abhinav Valada.

In addition to the program, the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Freiburg has also made a small podcast available on its website as an “appetizer”.

The festival is organized by Freiburg Wirtschaft Touristik und Messe (FWTM) together with the IHK Südlicher Oberrhein. It is aimed at anyone who is interested in innovation, technology and future topics – from students and founders to decision-makers from companies.
